Monetary Metals is hiring a remote Software Engineer to join our dynamic team during this exciting growth phase. This is a fully remote, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to work with a talented team of engineers.

Key responsibilities

  • Primary Technology Stacks: Experience in either of these is required: 
    • Design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL. 
    • Design, develop, and maintain web applications using React, Node.js, and TypeScript 
  • AWS Services and Infrastructure: Exposure utilizing various AWS services in a multi-account environment, including API Gateway, Lambdas & step functions, S3, IAM roles, endpoints, and VPCs preferred. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. 
  • Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality and encourage knowledge sharing. 
  • Technology Trends: Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in web development. 
  • Software Development Life Cycle: Execute the full software development life cycle (SDLC). 
  • Documentation: Develop diagrams and documentation for software solutions. 
  • Code Quality: Write well-designed, testable, maintainable, and efficient code. 
  • Integration: Integrate software components into a fully functional software system. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 
  • Proven experience as a Software Developer with a strong portfolio of projects. 
  • Experience with Git and Agile development methodologies is a plus. 
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills. 
  • Ability to work in a collaborative agile development environment.
